Each CD-ROM disk has a capacity of almost 650 megabytes. That's equivalent to almost 333,000 pages of typed text or 74 minutes of music. The CD-ROM disk is portable like a floppy disk, but is read only. This means that the CD-ROM drive can only read information from the disk, but cannot write to the disk.
